And Now, the Weather

Good morning!
The heat wave we’ve had over the last few days will unfortunately be staying with us until at least the weekend, with the Northern territory and the east of Queensland in particular affected by the warm weather. Not helping is the wind, or lack of it. Light breezes will be blowing over the west coast from this morning, picking up slightly towards the afternoon, but still not affecting the heat, really. Temperatures are likely to reach a maximum of 110 degrees around midday for the majority of Australia but again, in the Northern Territory and eastern areas of Queensland, temperatures are expected to exceed that given the low winds, so put on plenty of sun block if you’re out and about.
Heading towards the evening and the heat is holding strong. South and western Australia are looking fairly safe from the warm, with temperatures expected to lower to between 95 and 100 degrees around 6pm. In the early hours of the morning, between 1 and 2am, we’re even seeing evidence of some light showers around Albany, but come tomorrow morning the heat wave is back, with early morning temperatures of around 104 degrees, possibly reaching 110 again in northern Australia.
And now, we head to our studio in Tasmania to see how they’re coping with the blazing sunshine…
